Guests know the Fairmont brand as one that is luxurious, comfortable and reliable, making it a popular place to stay. Visitors and locals alike appreciate this particular Fairmont because it is rich in history and folklore. Soon, there will be even more to like as a $12 million renovation is taking place at the property.
They will be closing Griffins restaurant on November 5, 2013, and making way for more ground-level retail space that will be occupied by high-end retailers. The hotel’s other restaurant, 900 West, will stay. Along with the lobby and breezeway, it will receive a facelift in the renovation.
These renovations are projected to be completed by the end of 2014. They are hopefully only the first of three phases of upgrades. There are also plans to upgrade to guest rooms and hotel facilities over the next three years.
These ongoing renovations will not impact food and beverage services for guests staying at the property. They will temporarily operate out of the Panorama Roof, located on the 15th floor.
Guests can expect all of the upcoming renovations at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver to stay true to the grand old-world atmosphere that makes this large hotel so charming.
