Some things just get better with age, and Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Park is a stunning example of that.
Year after year, locals and visitors continue to appreciate the beautiful grounds. And as the park celebrates its 75th anniversary, there's something brand new to enjoy: an adrenaline-pumping zipline.
The 190-meter-long, twin-cable route zipline lets guests experience an incredible bird's-eye view of the park.

Queen Elizabeth Park is perched on Vancouver's highest point. The park sits at 152 meters above sea level, thus providing some of the city's most epic views.
The park is spread over 52 hectares, and it's here that you'll find beautifully cultivated flowers, lawn bowling, pitch and putt, tennis courts, the perfect spot for a picnic and the Bloedel Conservatory; it's easy to spend a lengthy afternoon exploring the park.
In honor of Queen Elizabeth Park's 75th anniversary, the Vancouver Park Board approved the installation of a temporary zipline, and this new attraction is already booming.
Built by Flightlinez Vancouver, a local company, the zipline affords unparalleled views of the park and nearby area.

You'll soar over an extinct volcano and land on the other side of the quarry garden, all the while enjoying awesome views of the North Shore mountains and downtown Vancouver's impressive skyline.
The zipline tower is located right beside the Bloedel Conservatory, so it's pretty easy to find.
The ride is open to people of all ages, with a weight restriction of 60 to 250 pounds. Youths (17 and under) are $12 and adults (18 and older) are $18 – excluding a $2 processing fee on each order.
The weekends tend to be more popular, so if you can avoid peak times, you'll find that you have less of a wait. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring some water and snacks to stay hydrated and nourished while you wait.
The zipline is open seven days a week from now until September (or October, weather permitting.). Hours of operation are from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Reservations for the ride are not required. But you can purchase tickets in advance if you'd like online.
Getting to the park is easy by car, and there are a few different entrances you can take to get inside. There's some free parking along the park's edges and plenty of paid parking by the conservatory.
If you're traveling by bicycle, the east-west Midtown and Ridgeway bike-ways form one continuous trail across Vancouver, mostly along 37th Avenue. For those using public transportation, there are a couple of different stops nearby.
This new attraction is awesome for all ages and should be on your summer to-do list in Vancouver.
