The OPUS Hotel boutique brand is known for accommodating each guest's needs during their stay, and the rooms with varying decor and color palettes to suit individual tastes is just the beginning. A few months ago, the OPUS Vancouver placed iPads in each room for guests to use. Always one to be a leader in the industry, they have taken it one step further by placing iPhone 4s into guest rooms, replacing the landline phones.
General Manager, Nicholas Gandossi, said, "Technology is a way of life today, not just a perk, and that holds true even while traveling. For the first time ever, guests can take their hotel phone off property, stay connected to the Internet, and receive and make phone calls."

Guests can bring these phones out with them while they explore the city and you can download any free app onto the phone for your use during your stay. They've already preloaded the phone with useful apps and important phone numbers, and all of your activity will be wiped clean from the phone upon checkout. Not only is it a convenient tool to have while you're in Vancouver, but it saves you from roaming charges on your phone and all local and incoming calls are free of charge.
As soon as you get back into your room, you can place it right beside your iPad in the charger docking station to juice up before you go out on your next adventure. OPUS is the first hotel in Canada to fully embrace technology by ridding their rooms of landlines and equipping guest rooms with iPhones.
