Boasting world-famous headliners such as Dave Chappelle, Martin Lawrence and Jay Mohr will have guests rolling in the aisles, as will the stellar line-up of opening comics.

Comedy Works has been a Denver attraction and favorite since 1981. The original Downtown in Larimer Square location is in the heart of Denver, and it's surrounded by a plethora of places to shop, dine and take in the sights. They opened their newest location – South at The Landmark in Greenwood Village – in 2008.
What makes Comedy Works so special?
"Comedy Works in downtown Denver is truly magical. The physical space was perfect for stand-up comedy from the beginning, and that magic carried into the comedians," says owner Wende Curtis. "And Comedy Works has always attracted smart crowds. That – coupled with the best comedic talent in the country and the amazing physicality of that room – is our secret recipe of magic."

The challenge for the newer Greenwood Village location was to carry over that same magic to a new space.
"When we built Comedy Works South, the agenda was to replicate that magic in a larger, two-story show room. It's new and splashy and has many of the original show room's attributes," says Curtis. "So the first room was much about luck, and the second was a bit of manufactured magic. But all in all, we know them to be the best comedy clubs in the country."
It's true. Comedy Works has hosted many famous funny frontmen and women, including Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, Ellen DeGeneres, Chris Rock, Lewis Black and the beloved Joan Rivers.
Known nationally has a comedy hotspot, this venue doesn't just stick to those already famous, however; they're also willing to take a chance on lesser-known but nonetheless talented up-and-coming comedians, as well.
And if you get hungry during the show, that's okay. Fried mac 'n' cheese, mozzarella sticks and hummus are just a few appetizing items that can be found at Comedy Works.
Not to mention, their alcoholic beverages are as unique as they are strong. A two drinks minimum is required for each individual, but you can also opt to simply substitute a drink for another menu item such as food or water.
One of the unique incentives for joining the Comedy Works mailing list is a free ticket and drink on your birthday, discounts for up to 19 of your friends and access to top-secret shows. Since membership is free, why wouldn't you join?
