The Valmont Bike Park of Boulder offers locals and visitors the opportunity to push their mountain or dirt bikes to the max. Situated on the outskirts of town, this park offers a scenic view of the Flatirons as you twist and turn along the rolling and challenging dirt mounds, rocky trails and wooden curves.
This one-of-a-kind bike park was proposed and partially constructed by the Boulder Mountain Bike Alliance who, since 1991, has contributed over 30,000 hours of labor on trail projects throughout the community.

The goal of the Boulder Mountain Bike Alliance and the City of Boulder Parks and Recreation Department was to give Boulder locals a communal space to ride, race and build relationships around the wonderful sport of biking. All members of the community voted on the best use of the land which is now Valmont Bike Park and many voiced their interest in and desire for in-town cycling. Various fundraisers helped to provide the necessary moolah for the park that so many people now enjoy.

Open dawn until dusk, this expansive park offers miles upon miles of rolling trails, dirt jumps, dual sloloms and sandpits. If you're visiting the park with kiddos, Valmont Bike Park offers a "Tot Track" for tricycles and strider bikes, as well as a Tot Playground. Picnicking areas are available and an event plaza is used for hosting the many shindigs that are thrown regularly at VBP, including biking clinics, races and festivals.
