Boulderites love the great outdoors like Midwesterners love their NASCAR. Sweeping generalization? Perhaps. But, once you set eyes on the Flatirons, foothills and canyons of this town preceding the Rocky Mountains, you'll scarcely question why the outdoors is a way of life here.
But playing amongst the rocks and trees of Boulder requires recreational gear fit for mountain newbies and experts alike. Luckily, a new store on the popular 29th Street Mall – Moosejaw Mountaineering – has our bases covered.

Why Moosejaw is Your Jam
Okay, maybe they aren't exactly doling out French kisses at the cash registers. However, when you immerse yourself in the hiking, climbing, skiing and utter outdoor awesomeness that is Boulder culture, you're certain to attract the affections of the ladies or gentlemen (whichever your preference).
But, to do so, you must first get the gear. Luckily, Moosejaw has an extensive selection of, well, just about everything mountain-related.
Whether you're merely visiting or setting up shop/prepping for some major and majestic mountain domination (Say that five times fast while drinking a local beer. According to Moosejaw, bringing one to their shop staff in Boulder is strongly encouraged.), you're sure to find any and everything you could need to get you up, down or around the mountains and canyons of Coloradoland.

For All You Shameless Self-Promoters Out There . . .
Moosejaw also offers free swag such as t-shirts (But we're doubting French-kisses.) when you take one of their Moosejaw banners on an epic adventure.
Note: Your picture has to actually be selected. You can't just hike some lame "trail" with no elevation gain and expect a free t-shirt. Please.
