About Cherry Creek North

Cherry Creek North

Denver's top shopping district is spread across 16 blocks just five minutes east of downtown. Cherry Creek North is bounded by 1st and 3rd Avenues and University and Steel Streets, and is home to dozens of boutiques, restaurants, salons and day spas, galleries and restaurants, plus the upscale Cherry Creek Mall.

See & Do

Cherry Creek North is all about spoiling yourself. Denver's version of Rodeo Drive, it is home to a number high end designer boutiques, like Garibaldi, SOL, and Eileen Fisher, selling everything from lingerie to haute couture. These are interspersed with some of the city's top art galleries and salons and spas galore, where everything from blow-outs to pedicures to Botox touch-ups are offered. And for a spa treatment or a work-out, there is Pure Vida.

Eat

Cherry Creek is home to numerous restaurants and one of Denver's top dining districts. Many of the restaurants found here, however, are corporate rather than indy (although their are a few, including La Merise, for excellent French), but that doesn't make them any less tasty. You can eat your way around the globe in this neighborhood, but stand-out spots include Machete (street tacos), Piatti (Italian), and the Cherry Creek Grill (American).

Party

Cherry Creek is not really known for its nightlife scene, and you won't find any clubs or even rowdy bars here. What nightlife does exist revolves around the neighborhood restaurants that stay open late. The Cherry Cricket, for instance, is an institution, and where to catch a game or to have a late night burger and a beer. Vinue is a wine bar upstairs from Machete, home to the hoods best street tacos and tequila.

Stay

Cherry Creek North itself has just a few lodging option, although their are plenty of chain hotels on its outskirts. Inside the shopping district you'll find the posh JW Marriott, which is where President Barack Obama stayed for one visit, as well as the boutique Inn at Cherry Creek. Within a few miles radius of the neighborhood, however, on Colorado Blvd and neighboring Glendale, you'll find numerous branded tourist class chains like Holiday Inn.

Shop

Attractions in Cherry Creek North are all about the shopping. Whether that is for art, clothing or household accessories. Not only is the neighborhood home to the Cherry Creek Mall, which features everything from Nordstrom to Louis Vuitton, but it also has 16 blocks worth of boutiques and stand-alone stores with as diverse recognized brands as Hermes to North Face. The neighborhood is also art focused, with numerous galleries featuring multiple genres for purchase.
