Each year the Tesoro Foundation (tesoro means treasure in Spanish) hosts a weekend-long Spanish Market and recreation of life in these parts back in the 1830s. The idea here is education with fur trappers and traders, mountain men and women, set up in historically accurate "camps" and trading post and ready to converse about their lives in this new frontier. There is also music and dancing as well as Spanish Colonial artists with their work on display.
