About Uptown
One of Denver’s hippest hoods, the Uptown neighborhood offers an abundance of established and new restaurants, coffee shops, and chic shops, many along the well-known Restaurant Row. Denver’s oldest residential area is highlighted by trees lined streets with historic Victorian and Queen Anne homes wedged between apartments and lofts. Located less than 3 miles southeast of downtown, the Uptown neighborhood is Uptown is between Broadway, Colfax Ave., E. 23rd Ave., and York St., which borders the western side of City Park and often combined with the City Park area.
Eat
Located on Uptown’s famous Restaurant Row, Il Posto on 17th Street is an Italian oasis in Denver. Italian-born (Milan) Chef Andrea Frizzi crafts her Northern Italian dishes for Il Posto’s constantly changing menu. She sources local organic produce and meats with flies in seafood daily. But for me, I’m there for her inspiring and irresistible gnocchi.
