The Souvenir Museum is a recently founded project of a trio of Costa Rican entrepreneurs who've managed to integrate education into a unique experience that lets visitors learn about sustainability while browsing and shopping the colorful, fair-trade collection- all of which is hand made in Costa Rica.

During a free tour, visitors to the Souvenir Museum hear about the development of communities and the stories of local artists and artisans and how the shop promotes research and strengthening of the sustainable lifestyle of its suppliers, considering the development of quality products from raw materials through packaging and shipping. Casual and conversational, the tour is family-friendly and aims to engage young travelers as well as their parents.
The Museum is located just five minutes from Juan Santamaria Airport on the road to the Poas Volcano, just north of Alajuela. Free tours are offered during which they explain the history, qualities and characteristics of each product.
