This October race is highly anticipated by runners from all over the country. One of the few well-known races held in the ten-mile distance, it is the largest race of its kind in the US and has been named one of the top 100 races in the US by Runners World Magazine. Military personnel are regulars, but plenty of professional racers and leisurely amateurs participate as well. Staging area is at the Pentagon.
