Many people think of a soundcheck as the time when a performer gets their voice and/or instrument ready in the hours or minutes before a concert.
Opened in August 2015, the venue features a top-of-the-line sound system, lasers, two disco balls and LED screens. And more than that, the club will be bringing in local and nationally known DJs to spin the best in hip hop, house and Latin music.

While we know fun doesn't start until the wee hours of the morning, you may want to head here early because the club can only hold around 300 people.
When you walk outside the club, you may wonder to yourself, "Why is it so quiet?" It's a nightclub, right? Where's the music?
Well, the answer is simple. When it came time to remodel the 4,400-square-foot space, cork floors and soundproof foam were installed to mimic how a recording studio captures all the sound vibrations.
Owned by the same group who brought the district the club Echostage, this dance hall features two bars where you can grab beers or libations before heading back onto the dance floor. There are just over a dozen tables to relax at, and you can arrange for table service, if you wish.
They also will have themed nights to enjoy, such as Hip Hop Saturdays and Glow Thursdays.
The venue – which is open from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. from Wednesday through Sunday – plans on having a coat check from November to March, so don't worry about having to carry your outerwear around during the winter months.
If you want VIP or table service, then be sure to inquire with the staff ahead of your arrival. You will want to start dancing right away once you enter the club.
Also, be sure to check out their calendar of events online to see what act will be playing when you drop in at Soundcheck DC.
The McPherson Square Metro stop is about a block away from the venue, so there's really no need to drive your car.
The days can be quite stressful, so why not dance the night away at this slick new nightclub located in the heart of the nation's capital?
