As a place that welcomes thousands of new and returning visitors every day from around the world, Washington D.C. is consistently adding more and more hotels to its already impressive lineup. Many of the headlines have gone to the new Convention Center hotel - Marriott Marque Washington, D.C. - which opened its doors in May. But there are several other noteworthy hotels that will welcomes guests beginning in 2014.
Cambria Suites at City Market at O
With a soft opening the same day as the 1,175-room Marquis, the Cambria Suites at City Market at O will host its grand opening in August. With just over 180 modern rooms, this hotel aims to offer an entirely different experience.
Guests can enjoy a dip in the rooftop indoor pool or take in the view on the patio, which is decked out with fire pits and lounge seating. Dining options are available on site. Take part in the evening manager's reception, where adult drinks and snacks are served every day but Sunday.

Hilton Garden Inn Washington, D.C. Downtown
Another addition to the nation's capital is the Hilton Garden Inn Washington, D.C. Downtown that began catering to guests' needs in the spring. This new offering is just blocks away from two metro stations and within walking distance to Georgetown attractions.
The hotel boasts 300 guest rooms and suites decorated in a modern classical style. Take a relaxing swim in the indoor pool, have a meal at the in-house Grist Mill or keep up your workout routine in the complimentary 24-hour fitness center.
Hyatt Place Washington, D.C. / U.S. Capitol
One more hotel that commenced business this year is the 14-story Hyatt Place Washington, D.C. / U.S. Capitol. Located in one of the fastest growing communities in the district, NoMa, the hotel features 200 oversized guest rooms featuring earthy colors and natural materials.
Dining options are available on site, and the hotel is also close to a number of restaurants with different cuisine. An outdoor swimming pool with views from the terrance await your return as does the Stay Fit fitness center - open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A look outside your window will probably get you a view of the U.S. Capitol and other district landmarks.
