When it comes to fun in the summer sun, Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center knows how to give guests a great, unforgettable time.
Located in National Harbor, just minutes away from Washington, D.C., the resort is offering a number of special activities for overnight guests and visitors to enjoy over lazy summer days.
Swimming? Check. Fountain shows? Check. Peeps? Check. Fruity spa treatments? Check.

Forget the heat and humidity with a swim inside the hotel's Junior Olympic-size pool or a run through the outdoor splash zone fountain that overlooks the Potomac River.
If you would rather just look at water, then be sure to catch the fountain shows happening at 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. inside the 19-story atrium. Guests may look on, as water is choreographed to music and blasted 60 feet high.
Again, if you prefer to stay dry, steer clear of the fountain's edge.
Care for a scavenger hunt? Inside the atrium, guests may hunt for hidden plush marshmallow Peeps. If you find them all, register to get a special treat from the Peeps store also located in National Harbor. Your mouth will thank your eyes for all the hard work.
If relaxation is calling your name, then head to the resort's Relache Spa to treat yourself to their new summer happy hour from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays.
Take your pick of five different services, including a 50-minute customized massage; a women's shampoo, style and blow out experience; or the 50-minute HydraFacial treatment. Whichever one you choose, the spa also offers a complimentary add-on treatment and champagne to savor during the experience.
Check out the spa's menu for starfruit and watermelon treatments that go perfectly with warm summer weather!
Don't forget to pamper your stomach and taste buds, as well. Several of the on-site eateries have summer offerings that will make your mouth water.
The National Pastime Sports Bar and Grill will be featuring chef-created gourmet burgers paired with craft beer, available Fridays through Sundays.
Meanwhile, Old Hickory Steakhouse has put together a summer-inspired three-course prix fixe dinner menu on Fridays and Saturdays. Some selections may include Maryland soft shell crab and premium black Angus beef.
Enjoy a lazy Sunday morning by starting the day at Pienza Marketplace for their brunch menu. Over the summer, guests will be given a complimentary Bellini to savor as they greet the day.
Summer activities last up until Labor Day weekend. So make your way to the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center to soak up and enjoy as much as you can!
