DC Nightlife near FedEx Field Offers Sports Bars, Music Venues

For a 1 p.m. Sunday game tip off, the last fans pour out of Landover's FedEx Field around dinner time. So what's a fan to do if they are still pumped up or heartbroken over the game? (Heartbroken is more likely. We are talking about the Redskins.) Many will hop on the Metro or drive their car for a short trip to nearby Washington, D.C. where the nightlife scene is always active.

If you are looking to continue the tailgate or catch an opposing teams' game, hit up district sports bar favorites like Buffalo Billiards or Crystal City Sports Pub. Bracket Room is fairly new to the bar scene but serves as the spot where a popular local radio station does their Redskins pre-game show live.

If you have had enough sports, there are several spots where you can catch live entertainment. Nightclub 9:30 offers big name artists in a small, intimate venue while Madam's Organ showcases jazz and blues bands. There are no shortage of dance clubs in the nation's capital to shake off your troubles. Some of the best include The Huxley and Josephine.

Whatever the outcome of the game, be sure to try out these outstanding nightlife venues near the stadium.
