One of the most popular restaurants in Fort Lauderdale is Peter Pan Diner. Just ask anyone. This popular diner-type restaurant has been open for many years and sits conveniently on Oakland Park Boulevard and Dixie Highway, just east of the tracks. Nothing fancy, just a very welcoming eatery that will surely become your favorite.

Come early, especially during "season" (December - June) when Peter Pan Diner fills up quickly for breakfast, lunch or dinner with lots of snowbirds who flutter there as quickly as they get back to Florida, as well as those who live here year-round.

This cozy and spacious, family-owned restaurant has a menu that is worth looking through, cover to cover, so plan to take your time. The decision of what to order isn't easy, so consider yourself warned. From steak, pot roast, fried chicken, meatloaf and - seriously - the very best chicken wings anywhere, begin now to think about what you want. This is the fun part.

A friendly staff, most of whom have been there for a long time, is happy to help you make the right decision, and before long, will know you by name. Breakfasts are hearty and taste better than homemade. Lunches include savory burgers and homemade french fries.

Don't forget desserts of homemade pies and cakes – and whatever your favorite is, it's here. In fact, take one home with you and impress your friends. Plenty of parking and no reservations necessary, Peter Pan is waiting to welcome you to your new favorite restaurant.
