Just when you thought Sawgrass Mills couldn't get any better, it has.
Sawgrass Mills, in Fort Lauderdale's western suburb of Sunrise, is the second largest tourist attraction in Florida after Disney World, and it may just be on its way to becoming number one! With the expansion of even more exclusive shops and name brand stores, shoppers are in for a delight like they have never seen.
The Colonnade Outlets at Sawgrass Mills have been a tourist draw since their introduction in 2007, with the sleek and sophisticated plaza outside the mall itself. With names such as Barneys New York, Prada, Ralph Lauren and Burberry's of London, shoppers have packed the palm-lined sidewalks toting their designer bags.
Now it gets better. With this massive 40,000 square-foot expansion as well as another 140,000 square-foot expansion on the south side of the property, this shopping mecca will include some the world's best brands in retail and promises to be an avenue of star-studded names that will draw in the finest of shopping enthusiasts.
Such names as Diane Von Furstenberg and Robert Graham, Steve Madden, Columbia Sportswear Outlet and Volcom, all premiering in their first South Florida outlet. Here, too, will see the expansion of Forever 21 and Calvin Klein, making them the largest locations in the state. Fans of Michael Kors will be happy to know this name brand will be a presence here, and boasts of being the first-in-Florida apparel-only boutique.
Come early for the best parking and plan to spend the day spending less in this outlet haven.
