The "World Famous" Cigar Bar


The Cigar Bar has been a hotspot in downtown Fort Myers for more than fifteen years. A family-owned establishment, the bar was originally known for its large humidor and masculine, yet cozy lounge. Happy Hour here is extended and is not limited to call brands. In fact, you can get a $3 Guinness, that's a pint. The Cigar Bar has an adjacent space to accommodate the crowds and increase the bar's entertainment capabilities featuring mostly local bands. Rum Runners is just over the Caloosahatchee River, in Cape Coral, on a scenic canal with direct access to the river. The bar is rather large with enough seating for large parties and superb specials on both food and drink for happy hour. The $5 light bites include items such as peel and eat shrimp, boneless chicken bites, pasta and even meatloaf. Oyster lovers go crazy over the $1.50 a piece pricing. An old favorite downtown location for locals, this space has a fresh coat of paint and a new name. The Downtown Social House, or SOHO for short, is punctuated by exposed brick, a fireplace and a wall of old speakers inside. The outdoor garden is the newest feature, adding a space that encourages people to indeed be 'social' with one another. Happy Hour goes from 4-8 every day but Sunday, where you enjoy specials such as $1 drafts. Every day has a different special from free appetizers to free house cocktails. The craft cocktail program is ever-changing, the food consists of flavorful small bites with a few entree sized options.

The Firestone

Facing the newly renovated waterfront, the rooftop Sky Bar is one of the most popular happy hour spots downtown. The Sunset Party begins at 4 pm and features $3 domestic beer and $6 premium sunset cocktails. But it's not just the affordable drink specials that pack the place; the Sky Bar is a prime spot to watch the sunset over the Caloosahatchee River.
