The Design District has undergone many a transformation over the past decade, but one spot that has remained is the Buena Vista Deli. This French-leaning diner serves a spot-on breakfast daily, with a little something for everyone (well, most...sorry, vegan readers). For those on the go, there's ham & swiss croissant sandwiches, warm beignets, bagels, and fresh-squeeze juices. If you've got a bit more time to spare (and you'll definitely want to), there's more involved options like the Benedict eggs (with or without salmon) and Spanich omelet, plus a number of piping hot quiches (try the leek!) to be enjoyed alongside a crisp green salad because we all gotta eat our veggies. Weekends are for brunch as well of course, and they've got that here too, along with plenty of lunch and dinner options--from goat cheese salads and french onion soups to prosciutto paninis, croque madams, and even the ol' escargot, if you dare.
- Breakfast: "We mentioned the beignets, but did we also mention the option for nutella or vanilla on these sweet, pillowy baked goods? Bonus: you can also add nutella to your waffle order!"
- Best for Breakfast Because: Sweet and savory croissants, bagels, omelets, fresh-squeezed juices, coffees, plus the rare but highly-coveted beignets, all in one spot? What more could you want?
