Hot and new on the Naples nightlife scene, Alto - Live Jazz Kitchen opened mid-February 2014 for fine dining and nightlifing. The bands strike up (starting March 8, 2014) in a jazz club atmosphere inspired by the late, legendary Zanzibar Blue in Philadelphia, where Alto co-owner, Chef Charles Mereday, served as executive chef back in the 1990s.

Located waterfront at the tony Bayfront Naples complex, the new club is open for dinner and entertainment nightly. Music stylings are not limited to jazz, but include other live musical entertainment groups of three or more performers. Friday and Saturday nights, the club jams until midnight.
Cozy banquettes and well-spaced tables create an atmosphere at once intimate and ebullient - transforming a former Italian restaurant into something hip and sophisticated. Show up in your nightlife finery, because Naples is all about doing the town in style - especially in this residential-commercial complex that evokes the very namesake of Naples with neo-Mediterranean architecture and pedestrian-friendly, brick-paved streets.
Chef Nadir Sherwani partners with Mereday - whose nearby Mereday's Fine Dining restaurant has achieved high acclaim - and heads up the kitchen with global style. Small plates such as fontina bechamel crepes, creative flatbreads and main dishes the likes of porterhouse with Yorkshire pudding hit a high note with foodies who love a side of tasty licks with their dinner.
