The City Beautiful is home to many unique ways to keep you and your family busy. Here’s a rundown of things to do if you only have a day.
Start your day with breakfast at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Pizzafari Restaurant. Once your belly is full, make your over to Downtown Disney where you’ll find shops galore, restaurants, a movie theater and more.
Next, check into The Peabody Orlando for posh rooms with plush beds, 42-inch flat-screen TVs and mini LCD TVs installed in the bathroom mirrors. If you are there around 11 a.m, don’t worry about the ducks waddling through the lobby; they’re part of the hotel‘s charm (read more about the ducks at http://www.peabodyorlando.com/peabody-ducks/).
Then, head to Orlando Aerial Arts and pick up some skills worthy of a Cirque du Soleil aerialist. (Think: Climbing silk cloths that hang from the ceiling.) It is the perfect way to gain flexibility and core strength.
By now, you’ve worked up an appetite, so grab a seat at Cafe Tu Tu Tango for an alfresco meal. Afterward, get your retail fix at Pointe Orlando. For a tasty, Greek-style dinner, hit Taverna Opa. It is the place for breaking plates, dodging confetti-style napkins and sampling tasty dishes like the smash-it-yourself garbanzo beans appetizer. Better yet, the energy of this eatery will have you dancing in your seat or – for the more adventurous – on the table. Afterward, pop over to B.B. King’s Blues Club for funky jazz, just a few steps away.
