September is “Magical Dining Month” in Orlando. And it’s just the kind of witchcraft foodies love best. Why? All month long, some of the city’s best restaurants offer three-course, prix fixe menus for $33. It’s the ideal time to visit one or more of the places you’ve been dying to try, including celebrity chef venues like Todd English’s BlueZoo, funky local haunts like Maxine’s On Shine, or top-shelf Restaurant Row options like Roy’s.

With more than 60 restaurants participating, though, you may want to try more than one. Suggested solution? Take advantage of this popular event's newest offering: dine and stay “Magical Nights” packages. Visitors can tap into the post-peak spaciousness of the theme-park attractions. Locals can plan the staycation they've been postponing. All while enjoying rates that include dinner for two at an upscale eatery right on site.

At the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort, deals start at $165 per night along with dinner at either A Land Remembered or Cala Bella. The Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando is offering a standard-view room and dinner for two at the Islands Dining Room for $225. And carnivores will revel in the sumptuousness of the fare at Spencer’s for Steaks and Chops (which made our 10Best Steakhouses list) at the Hilton Orlando, where you can dine and stay for $174 and up.

Not all the magic happens in your mouth, though. One dollar from every meal sold benefits Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida. Last year, more than $67,000 was raised for the health and well-being of children and families. So if you needed an extra excuse for that decadent chocolate lava cake, look no further. And be sure to hit up another Magical Dining Month option while you’re enjoying the time away.
