The Basement

They even go an extra mile, in fact, promising every drink they pour is a double. This downtown bar on the corner of Pine and Magnolia Streets is alliterative, as well. Case in point, Sunday Funday offers $3 mojitos, mimosas and (bloody) Marys. Pop in for a quick one or stay for some live entertainment or to watch the game. The house kitchen – run by Philly and Chi-town natives – serves up cheesesteaks, Italian beef and an array of other city-specific foodisms to soak up the stiff ones with aplomb.
