Despite its soaring ceilings, this upscale North Quarter eatery feels cozy – even during a power lunch – so well appointed is the space. That said, you'll have an even better time here with friends and loved ones, since there's far more lattitude to enjoy the wonderful cocktails (try the ancho old fashioned!) and pick off one another's plates. Fare runs the gamut from the expected, like tender-moist tamales and smothered enchiladas to surprising turns, like the yellowfin tuna tostada, Chesapeake oyster taco or duck breast in mole sauce. And if you're unfamiliar with tequila's smokier, sultrier sister, the folks here will be happy to school you as you explore the extensive options.

- Restaurants near Amway Center: "If we could have one thing, right now (right now being whatever time you're reading this because it's that good), it'd be the tuna tostada. And if you want to gross out your dining partners, those smoky chapulines (grasshoppers) are a must."
- Best for Restaurants near Amway Center Because: Divine atmosphere. Delicious food and drink. If 1.4 miles is too far for you to stroll to Amway, call a cab. Reyes is worth it.
