For a pub with excessive emphasis on beer, and by excessive emphasis we mean 40 rotating taps and a massive cider selection, not to mention all the bottles of ales and Lambics and sours (oh, my!), what sets Oblivion apart from the craft-beer-driven crowd is its secondary emphasis: food. Much seems what you'd expect â€" burgers, wings and the like â€" but Oblivion's menu is creative, with some surprising elements (vegan "chicken" fingers tossed in the sauce of your choosing, for example). Plus, it's really, really good. Go light with a hummus trio or go for broke with the Presley burger, on which bacon, fried banana, peanut butter and jelly are layered. It's a sandwich to which the King himself would hail. Go.

- Bars: "An early open time and expansive menu makes Oblivion an exceptionally kid-friendly entry on this roster. Until about 9 p.m. anyway."
- Best for Bars Because: This place is craft beer-meets-pub food heaven. Because Heaven definitely has Hawaiian-garlic tater tots and beer cheese.
