Plantation Adventure Center

Located on the grounds of the lovely Plantation on Crystal River resort, this friendly dive shop and tour purveyor run all kinds of trips – fishing to birding, kayaking to cavern dives. Arguably, however, its most unique tour takes small, delighted groups for manatee encounters in the area's many springs come the winter season. Included in these morning jaunts: wet suits, mask and snorkel and ample instruction by which visitors will become schooled in the habits of the manatee (and the best practices to garner interaction). For an additional fee, take home a CD of your trip, complete with underwater photographs and video. T-shirts, postcards, adorable souvenir manatees and more are available at the shop, as well.
