A night at the Motel 6 is as inexpensive as a nice dinner out. Very budget-conscious travelers or people who want to save their money for the nearby attractions (can you say Walt Disney World?) will appreciate the bare-boned rates here. No extras offered, but you can order wifi for a small fee. The Motel 6 Palm Bay is close to the beautiful Playalinda Beach, the Brevard Zoo and the Habitat Golf Course. Plenty of popular restaurants nearby. Or drive just 10 miles to the Melbourne Beach. Traveling through? The Melbourne airport is about eight miles from the Motel 6.

The Hotel Econo Lodge Melbourne is one of the more budget-friendly of the hotels on the Space Coast. It is not on the beach, but it is conveniently close to the Melbourne Square Mall, as well as other popular entertainment destinations. Rooms come with free wifi, cable TV and free local phone calls. Take a dip in the outdoor pool and enjoy that Florida sunshine. Do not expect anything fancy here – at all. The Econo Lodge is a place to rest your head, after spending an exciting day exploring the beaches, downtown and delicious restaurants in Melbourne. Want to eat on site? The location is great, too – walking distance to the Cocoa Beach Pier and the beach, several parks, the East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame and even a family-friendly dinosaur museum. The newly renovated rooms offer cable TV, air conditioning and wifi for a small added fee. Parking is included. Cool off in the swimming pool, although you are close enough to the beach to not need to. Plenty of delicious restaurants nearby, too. While you're out, walk to the famous Ron Jon Surf Shop and pick up some souvenirs.
