10 Best Places to Stay near Malabar, Florida

Malabar, a small community on the Space Coast, Fla., is a great place to stay if you are traveling on a budget. Although Malabar itself does not boast a wide variety of lodging options, you can find an assortment within a 20-minute drive of town.

Many of the Malabar area's hotels are budget-friendly. The Comfort Suites Palm Bay, the Quality Inn Palm Bay and the Motel 6 Palm Bay are all three inexpensive options that are also centrally located.

For the more upscale options, head slightly farther north to Melbourne. The Residence Inn Melbourne is close to the airport and offers spacious suites. The award-winning Hilton Rialto Melbourne Place is great for business travelers. The Courtyard Melbourne West is not close to the beach but it does serve Starbucks coffee on site.

Also look for a handful hotels around here (such as the Holiday Inn Express Melbourne) that offer complementary breakfast, or make your own in the full kitchen at the Residence Inn Melbourne.

If you don't mind the short 15-minute drive over the bridge to Melbourne Beach, the Doubletree there is a beautiful resort that's closer to the ocean.

Here are our favorite 10 places to stay if you want to make Malabar your home base.
