It all started in 2006 when three young Tampa boys came together to create Black & Denim, a line of casual men’s fashion. With talent, determination and creativity, they persevered in a crowded marketplace to develop their brand and recently opened their first clothing store in Ybor City.
The fashion is all-American, from its inspiration - James Dean - to the raw materials to the manufacturing process. Quality craftsmanship and attention to detail are the hallmarks of their apparel. Black & Denim features clothing that is comfortable and contemporary, focusing on classic essentials such as jeans, graphic tees and bags.

Although Black & Denim clothing has been available online and in some boutiques and department stores for several years, a dream has been realized with the opening of their flagship storefront in Tampa’s historic Ybor City. It’s only 400 square feet right now, but there’s an option to expand. The company even hopes to open two new Tampa stores in the near future. They also hope to move manufacturing operations to the area.
To the owners of Black & Denim, their clothes represent a fulfillment of the American Dream in which grit, determination and hustle will get you to your goals. This is a case of life reflecting art reflecting life.
Guaranteed to appeal to all males between the ages of 16 and 60, their clothes are also a wonderful souvenir of Tampa for this sometimes hard-to-buy-for demographic.
