The Upper Tampa Bay Trail is a paved pathway that begins at the southern trailhead off Memorial Highway and Montague Street, and travels north 7.25 miles to Peterson Road Park. This trail is regarded as one of Tampa's best urban trails and is perfect for jogging, walking, biking and even horseback riding. Providing a respite from the city streets, the trail winds along water channels lined with native plants and flowers, up unused railway corridors and past rural pastures complete with grazing animals. Along the way are restrooms, picnic areas, and an information center. If you'd like to stop for a bite to eat, there is easy access to dining options when you cross Ehrlich Road.
