This is for when you're craving a slice of NYC while in Paris. The oldest American restaurant in Paris, Joe Allen is the restaurant near Les Halles where you go when you absolutely need a Reuben Sandwich and a slice of authentic NY cheesecake. It's a good antidote for when you're feeling homesick or even just when you get that taste for some solid American classic dishes while watching the game. In recent years, the hamburger craze has hit Paris so now there are dozens of places where you can go to get a good one, but this place has kept its genuineness and as such its loyal Parisian clientele. Good to know, too, that the meat for the hamburgers is ground on premises, the breads are baked there, too, and are even organic. Wholesome, American goodness is what you get here at this Allen outpost in Paris.
