Bottle Rocket, located in historic Castleberry Hill neighborhood not too far from Downtown, is a neighborhood favorite. What the small restaurant lacks in size it makes up for with its food and friendly and helpful staff. The menu consists of your choice of 45 different sushi selections as well as some items a little less on the raw side.
Special sushi rolls include the Candy Box, Bulls Eye and Sunset Strip. Non-sushi favorites include the mussels and tuna burger. Entrees are only around $10, making it both a fun, tasty and affordable night out. They also make some killer cocktails. Most love the Dark N Stormy but their boozy slushies, called Frozees, with flavors like Watermelon Shandy and Basil Pisquito are a real summer time treat. If you are more into brews, don’t fret. There’s a terrific selection of craft beers on draft. You’ll never be bored visiting Bottle Rocket as almost each night has a different feature. Sunday evenings feature PuPu platters with items like Octopus, Chicken Tulips and Shrimp Toast. Get tasty bottles of wine on Wednesday nights for only $15. If you are a lady, visit on Thursdays for ladies nights, featuring specials on drinks and small plates. Many weekend nights feature live music.
