Hotel Indigo Midtown is the boutique hotel located across the street from the Fox Theatre in Midtown. When it opened in 2004, it had a beach-centric theme. However, Hotel Indigo, and its restaurants 683 Bar and Bistro, recently had quite the makeover. The new digs include a fancy bar with color changing lights and a wine dispensing machine.

There are bright, punchy colors all throughout the hotel's decor. There’s definitely nothing ho-hum about the design whatsoever. With 38 hotels globally, there are plans for 60 more. Each Hotel Indigo pays tribute to a local landmark. In Atlanta, that landmark is the historic Fox Theatre. The surrounding walls are decorated with the designs of various Broadway shows that have made their way to the Fox. But it doesn’t end there. They’ve even gone so far as to take printouts of tickets from concerts and events and make a collage of sorts against one of the walls.
But the homage to things local doesn’t end with the decor. Hotel Indigo makes it a point to support local vendors with their food and beverage menu, too. Not relegated to food, they even source beer locally: Jail House and Sweetwater are currently offered. Wine, cheeses, produce and baked goods are all sourced from local vendors as well. The menu changes with the seasons to take advantage of what’s fresh from local farmers. Fun idea: pop over to Hotel Indigo when taking in a show at the Fox and sip on one of their specialty cocktails. Or stop in prior to the show for a pre-theatre cocktail.
