Speakeasy bars and underground bars are all the rage now. Everyone wants to be sipping on a well-crafted cocktail at some secret bar that not everyone knows about. Here’s a secret Atlanta bar you’ve probably never heard of: Eleanor’s. Eleanor’s is actually named after an employee; she has a vast amount of training and is still part of the organization.
Eleanor’s was started by the wildly popular guys who own Muss and Turner’s. In fact, Eleanor’s is located inside Muss and Turner’s. Though one wouldn’t just stumble upon it. You would have to know where to look. You see, to enter Eleanor’s, you must walk through what appears to be a freezer door. Heck, even their twitter handle, @thecoolerdoor, gives away their location. . .sort of.

The dark and dimly lit space is perfect for a cozy evening of drinks with friends. Or sit at the bar and make some new friends. While there are many obscure beers available, patrons can also sip on some tasty cocktails as well. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful in making recommendations based on taste preference.
Tip: Eleanor’s is rather small, so expect large crowds on the weekends. Best bet is to come during a weekday to be guaranteed a seat.
