When they first enter the building, visitors watch a short video for an overview of the Battle of Atlanta in the Civil War. They are then directed into a large theater, where they will be further exposed to the Battle of Atlanta as it is depicted in huge painting. Visitors can relax while they revolve around scenes of the battle. As they watch, areas of the painting will light up, and they hear sounds from the battle in a rich, stereo surround-sound. The Cyclorama, painted from 1885 to 1886, has been a fixture in the Grant Part Community of Atlanta since 1893.
