Regardless of where you live or are visiting in Atlanta, there's bound to be a tree lighting in your neck of the woods. If you can make it to the heralded tree lighting at the Macy's at Lenox Square on Thanksgiving night, do it. If you prefer something more intimate, try one of the smaller, neighborhood tree-lighting events, like the one on top of Little Shop of Stories in Decatur. Featuring carolers, hot chocolate and holiday readings, the event is largely composed of young families and small children. Plus, it disperses quickly (so no need to spend hours in the car going to or fro).
