It's a given that the burgers at Miss Ann's are sublime, but there's no denying the fact that you've got to let them come to you. Miss Ann prepares the food in her own good time and by her own rules, and her small snack bar isn't commercial by any stretch of the imagination, so everything has to happen in a certain order. That includes your entrance into the place (it only seats 8), making your selection, and then being served – and everything happens at a leisurely pace. (Don't be in a hurry or plan anything afterwards in hopes of a speedy lunch.) Even so, the burgers are worth waiting for, and the much-favored "ghetto burger" – two hand-formed patties dusted with Old Bay and topped with chili, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and condiments – is the crowning glory. It's especially good with Miss Ann's sweet tea. Get ready.
