Savannah’s nightlife scene offers a little bit of something for everyone, from rollicking pubs that draw big crowds to intimate bars perfect for quiet conversation. No matter which style you prefer, a visit to Rocks on the Roof is a must.
The rooftop bar on top of River Street’s Bohemian Hotel is the perfect nighttime spot, whether you want to socialize and be seen or find a quiet nook to watch the sunset. Inside, patrons can mingle at the large, fully stocked bar surrounded by numerous sleek wooden tables.
The outdoor space, which overlooks the Savannah River and the Historic District, offers a variety of seating options, including comfy couches, tables and chairs. There’s even a fire pit for those occasional Savannah nights when the weather is chilly. To the left, patrons can take in the majestic Talmadge Bridge, while the rest of the outdoor area offers unparalleled views of Downtown Savannah.
All visitors to Rocks on the Roof will appreciate the bar’s nice selection of drinks, including specialty cocktails such as a Georgia Peach martini, blackberry mojito and Savan Gria Margarita, which combines Cuervo 1800, Cointreau and house-made sangria. For those with an appetite, a menu is available featuring tapas-style cuisine ranging from Wagyu sliders to Thai beef salad.
Rocks on the Roof frequently features live entertainment and tends to get crowded on the weekends. If you prefer to visit during a quieter time, consider heading there on a weekday to watch the sunset.
