It’s the perfect night to go out in Savannah, but you want a glass of wine and your companion is jonesing for a double shot of espresso. And both of you are craving a quiet, intimate conversation. What do you do? Enter the Sentient Bean. The popular Forsyth Park coffeehouse, which specializes in vegetarian and vegan fare, now offers wine and beer.

Though the selection of alcoholic beverages is limited, there is something for even the most discerning beer and wine drinkers. Beer aficionados will approve of the Bean’s brigade of bottled beer, among them Samuel Smith Organic Lager, Nimbus Pale Ale and Jack’s Hard Cider, a gluten free beer. Wine snobs will love the by-the-glass selection, which includes Espelt Red, La Paradou Viognier and Saint-Roch VV Blanc. And the Sentient Bean still offers a full range of coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, sandwiches, baked goods and more.
If the addition of wine and beer isn’t enough to convince you to visit the Sentient Bean after hours, then check out the coffeehouse’s live entertainment offerings. The Bean often features live bands, film screenings and poetry readings. A list of upcoming events is posted on the Sentient Bean’s Facebook page.
