Something old, something new best describes the charming Marshall House. Built in 1851 and restored and reopened in 1999, the iconic hotel has the distinction of being Savannah's first hotel. Many of the Marshall House's original features remain untouched, showcasing 19th-century doors, windows, moldings, staircases and railings. Many guest rooms contain elements from the hotel's early days - among them antique claw foot tubs and wrought-iron balconies. All of the 68 guestrooms feature Wi-Fi, wall-mounted flat-screen LCD TVs and premium mattresses. Complimentary deluxe Continental breakfast, and complimentary wine and cheese (Sunday - Thursday) are additional "perks." The hotel's desirable location on Broughton Street in downtown Savannah offers easy access to numerous shops, restaurants and bars. One of the city's best restaurants, 45 Bistro, is located on the hotel's ground level. Special packages are available for small weddings and elopements.
