10 Best Places in Midtown Savannah to Shop: Trinkets, Threads and Treats

Midtown may just be Savannah’s best-kept shopping secret. The neighborhood, which extends from Victory Drive to Eisenhower Drive, is teeming with locally owned specialty shops, national retail chains and discount superstores.

Some of Midtown’s best shops are its gourmet markets and confectionaries, including longtime Savannah favorite The Cookie Shop @ Byrd’sRiver Street Sweets and Maison de Macarons, which specializes in French macaron cookies. Savannah Wine Cellar offers a different kind of indulgence: more than 400 varieties of wine, 40 of which can be sampled via the store’s unique self-serve system.

The neighborhood also has an impressive selection of women’s clothing stores, from the hip, locally owned BleuBelle Boutique to the national retailers in Abercorn Walk, including Loft, White House | Black Market, Chico’s, Francesca’s and more. Those looking for a bargain will enjoy perusing the goods at T.J. Maxx and Marshall’s, which are both located in Savannah Centre

Midtown Savannah is also home to several locally owned specialty shops. Punch & Judy, a family-owned business, boasts a great selection of baby furniture, along with clothing, accessories and gifts for little ones. TailsSpin specializes in healthy pet food, toys and other items for cats and dogs. Globe Shoe Co., which first opened a store in Savannah in 1902, has the city's best selection of designer footwear. And just about anyone can find something useful at Kitchenware Outfitters, a culinary specialty shop that has everything from garlic presses to gourmet salsa.
