At Paraphernalia concept store – created in late 2014 in Athens, Greece, by George Karras and Angela Koutroulaki – they're curating a constantly changing collection of furniture, lighting, jewelry, accessories, editions, home and office ware and everything in between.
Some are new, some are old and some are upcycled.
From the bell lamp by Normann Copenhagen to the yoga bag by Pijama and the ceramic cups by Jimbobart to foreign press (Kinfolk, Cereal et al), Paraphernalia aspires to create a holistic proposal in a space where everyone can find imaginative and well-designed objects, most of which are presented in the heart of Athens for the first time.

Paraphernalia was created with extra care and attention to detail, similarly to the items they host. Handmade furniture and lighting, prints, functional objects for the home and office, DIY tools, books and periodicals, jewelry and ceramics, old and new – they all coexist in an organic and minimal way.
All their articles are chosen based on their functionality and quality of production, as well as with nature and the sourcing of their material in mind. They have a weakness for recycled and upcycled materials and for craftsmanship from Greece and all around the world.
Soon, they're planning to present their own line of accessories and furniture.
Items of particular interest are the wire baskets for various uses, the original drawer handles and doorknobs, the scissors with leather handles and the tinned steel provision pins. The lighting made with brown paper bags or recycled cardboard is ideal both for office or home use, with its casual style.
Gentlemen will like the collection of beard oils made with natural essences, and the handy beauty bags are practical both for men and women. The Swedish shaving brushes, made from wood and horsehair, are another original touch.
The colorful soft cases for laptops or iPads by Pijama and the backpacks made from leftover textiles, or canvas, are understated fashion items. Contemporary minimal style is the characteristic of the table mats and hand-painted mugs, which combine harmoniously with the tables or O.S.B. coffee tables.
For a more romantic style, there are the notebooks and writing sets with correspondence cards, for those who prefer a handwritten note to an e-mail or a text on the mobile. An interesting series of thematic cards features various hobbies, such as sewing and photography.
At Paraphernalia, you can find the perfect gift, that special piece for your house or simply an item that you know is absolutely unique.
