Tudor Hall restaurant at King George hotel in Athens has been renovated, and it's ready to welcome you to the heart of the city. The on-site eatery overlooks the magical historic heritage nearby and offers authentic Greek seasonal dishes with a modern twist. This combination is achieved with the leadership of passionate Executive Chef Sotiris Evangelou, whose name is synonymous with quality.
Evangelou's aim, as he says, is to create a cuisine that evokes nostalgia and emotion. A key element that makes this Athens restaurant stand out from the rest is the use of fresh seasonal vegetables and raw materials. This is also the reason why the restaurant menu will be continuously updated, so as to be consistent with the seasonal produce.

The extensive Greek wine list is also very interesting, and it's curated by hotel sommelier Evangelos Psofidis. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The journey begins with traditional starters, such as shrimp saganaki with feta cheese and Tyrnavos ouzo, winter salad leaves with hot goat cheese and fruit or steamed octopus with lemon olive oil and smoked eggplant. A true Greek menu would not be complete without the famous Aegean soup kakavia, with rockfish and seafood.
Choosing a main course will not be easy, as offerings include slow-cooked beef cheeks with potato purée; roasted chicken marinated in yogurt, honey and thyme; and scorpion fish with spices, potatoes and onions.
The epilogue of this exciting journey has been curated by the restaurant's Pastry Chef Eugene Vardakastanis, with the creation of an original dessert menu. Choose between a dessert that combines five chocolate variations, a Madagascar vanilla pannacota with berries and raspberry sorbet or a pavlova with light coconut mousse and exotic fruit.
You can also close your lunch or dinner with a delicate flavor such pineapple carpaccio with white chocolate cream; lime and mango sorbet with mint; or marinated strawberries in vanilla syrup, xérès vinegar, almond streusel and yoghurt sorbet.
