Margaro is a simple, casual fish restaurant which has been a favorite since 1944 when it first opened. Dyosmos, which translates into "mint" is located in a renovated 1920 mansion on Freattydos Avenue in Piraeus. The menu is based exclusively on Greek products from local producers, with which the delicious and imaginative dishes are prepared. E/G Taxidevontas opened in 2002 in the neighborhood of Keratsini, very close to the port of Piraeus. The name specifies a passenger ship in nautical terms. In 2014 its twin opened, north of Athens in Nea Erythrea. The concept of these fish restaurants is to always offer fresh fish (you can see the fish still alive on their Youtube channel), prepared with simple traditional recipes, which enhance the taste and scent of genuine Greek fish and seafood. Their specialties are reasonably priced, depending on what you choose. The menu also includes a variety of shellfish and many home made tasty appetizers.

Papaioannou fish restaurant is a landmark in the small port of Mikrolimano in Piraeus. Vassilenas. A place with a long history. It first opened in 1920 at Maniatika of Piraeus, originally as a grocery store, by the grandfather of today's owner Thanasi Vassilena. A restaurant that for more than 90 years has been welcoming artists, politicians and guests from the neighborhood who remain a faithful clientele, all having in common the desire to taste something extraordinary. Today, that small grocery store has been transformed into one of the main ambassadors of Greek high cuisine. It consists one of the most unique expressions of modern Greek cooking, with tasting balance and clean flavors. Vassilenas, being the first restaurant to establish the menu degustation in Greece, all the way back in 1928, still proposes a 10-dish menu, which is being renewed according to the seasonality of the ingredients. At the same time the variety of wine labels ideally accompanies the gastronomic experience, covering a wide range of producers from Greek and international vineyards.
It was in 1987 when Varoulko restaurant was born in Piraeus. Along with it came a new style of seafood cooking created by Lefteris Lazarou. Lazarou was the first chef in Greece to cook a seafood menu at a fine dining restaurant and to introduce the public to less known and previously neglected types of fish. Lazarou received a great number of awards through the years, including a Michelin star in 2002 �the first one ever awarded to a chef serving Greek cuisine. Lazarou holds his star since then. After spending a decade ashore, Lefteris Lazarou sailed back to his old neighborhood. The brand new Varoulko Seaside in Mikrolimano, Piraeus, is here to stay and is now open both during the day and during the evening offering two different menus: a simple, meze-style one for lunch and an elegant and creative one for dinner.
