Situated across from the ocean in Kailua-Kona, LuLu's is one of those bar and restaurants that's a staple to the community. While many other late-night venues have come and gone on the Big Island, Lulu's has seen generations of the over 21 crowd come and go through its doors.
One of Big Island's top dance clubs, LuLu's can attribute its popularity to any number of factors: its ocean-side location, awesome open-air deck or state-of-the-art lighting and sound.
While the Big Island location is centrally located in Kona, LuLu's also has venues in Waikiki and on Maui. LuLu's is truly the only bar and nightlife spot of its kind on the island. Part sports bar and part dance floor - as well as a good, old-fashioned late-night talk story hangout - Lulu's is the place to go for live music or just to relax and chat with a friend over a meal.

As a retro surf-themed restaurant, Lulu's boasts island style through and through. The menu features a variety of munchies, known as pupus (Hawaiian for "appetizers") to the local crowd. The restaurant offers what they call an "Island-Asian-American" menu, and hungry party-seeking folks can satisfy a late-night craving. The menu includes classic bar food like burgers and steaks, as well as sushi and plates of fresh, locally caught fish.
A favorite with the young and pretty sect, the bar stays hopping until well after old fogies have hit the sack, with the doors staying open most nights until about 1:30 a.m. or so. Combining activities with late-night fun, LuLu's has an array of fun things to do.
Some nights, it's Portuguese horse shoes (a local take on the classic sport). Other times, it's modeling contests for local companies, surfing and sporting events or other gatherings. Themed parties are a regular occurrence, as well as live bands, local musicians, DJs and sports on flat-screen TVs.

Kailua-Kona is the tourist destination of Big island, thanks to being home to the island's nicest beaches. Drop in for a night of fun at Lulu's after a day spent exploring Hapuna Beach Park or snorkeling at Kahulu'u Beach Park.
To start a fun night off in another fun atmosphere that closes its doors early, make reservations at Kona Brewing Company. The lively brewery offers local brews, as well as a gourmet and Pacific Rim-themed twist on delicious bar food.
