This cute shop on Big Island is part consignment shop, part new bathing suit shop. Located in charming downtown Hilo, Sun Your Buns is loaded with women's shoes, dresses, tops and accessories, as well as men's clothing, too. Making a home in a modest hole-in-the-wall shop, Sun Your Buns offers affordable secondhand clothing as well as brand new bathing suits.
Here, the clothing and shoes are all secondhand, but the owner does a great job at keeping up with current trends and manages to find clothes that are hip and cute. Meanwhile, the bathing suits are all brand new, and there's a huge selection of cute suits of all sizes, shapes and colors.

To find cute clothes to sell at affordable prices, the owner welcomes local girls to sell their previously used items. It's not uncommon at Sun Your Buns to find clothing that has never been worn and still has the tags on it. Hidden gems like high-end brands in great condition can be found on the racks.
The great thing about Sun Your Buns is that all of the clothing, as well as the bathing suits, are very affordable. Bring a reusable shopping bag to help waste reduction on the Big Island.
Sun your buns is within walking distance to Hilo Bay, as well as many restaurants and shops. Nearby is Cafe Pesto, an Italian eatery that enjoys quite a reputation for innovative pizzas. The gourmet pizzas range from traditional Italian varieties to recipes bearing Mediterranean or Pacific Rim touches.
The restaurant gets packed at lunch and dinner; everybody from local business types to tourists clamor for a daily fix of pizza topped with shiitake mushrooms, artichokes, chipotle-seasoned chicken or chili-grilled shrimp and cocktails.

Right around the corner from the boutique is Hilo Farmers Market. Over 200 vendors of all kinds frequent the market. Although it's open daily, the biggest days are Saturdays and Wednesdays from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Every other day, the market's open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
At Hilo Farmers Market, you'll find everything from jewelry to fresh flowers and clothing to home decor. There's even food, ready to eat or to bring home and cook. The market is a bustling place to socialize or window shop. It's definitely a classic Hilo attraction.
Also in the area is Full Moon Cafe, a gourmet Asian fusion restaurant that offers a menu with fresh seafood and other local ingredients. Just a few minutes' drive away is Liliuokalani Park, offering peace and tranquility with its oceanside Japanese gardens and ponds.
