As one of Hilo's newest restaurants, Full Moon Cafe is contributing to island sustainability, and great flavors and dishes, by using locally-grown produce and locally-raised meat and fish. Combining authentic Thai food and American fare to create a well-rounded menu, Full Moon Cafe is a family-run restaurant owned and operated by a long time Big Island family.
Keeping with traditional Thai food, the Thai menu includes dishes like spring rolls, cashew chicken, beef broccoli, tofu pineapple curry and po tak soup. Also in house is an American menu with the usual fare such as veggie burgers, hamburgers, wild salmon steak, a fish wrap and various salads.

Adding nightlife to good food is regular live music from Thursday through Sunday. Local musicians come in and jam with friends and visitors alike. Located in downtown Hilo, in the area called Bayfront because it lines Hilo Bay, Full Moon Cafe is nestled in between small boutiques with local arts and crafts and other wonderful restaurants.
Locally-brewed beer is served on draft for diners over 21 years old. One of the best ways to begin a meal at Full Moon Cafe is to catch the sunset over the bay before enjoying delicious cuisine and live music.
