I recently spent a night at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, and it was a great experience. For a local looking for a staycation (as I was) or for out of towners, this hotel was really fun. Where to start? Well, the Hilton Hawaiian Village is more than a village, it’s more like a small city of it’s own. It’s truly a destination within itself.

Nestled in Waikiki, It has six pools on site, one being an awesome keiki (kid’s pool), along with water slides that quite small children can charge down as long as they have some sort of flotation device. Three spas are available to indulge in, as well as almost fifteen places to eat, a vast array of shops (from basic necessities to high end jewelry), a business center open round the clock, room service, child care, and well, the list goes on. In short, literally everything you could need.
They have real flamingos hanging out at a pond, and the beds are heavenly. Something that really makes the hotel stand out is the firework show that happens every Friday. This place is busy, and farm from your idea of a private Hawaiian getaway. It’s a busy place, but is fun and can pamper you in every way. It’s centrally located in Waikiki so off site attractions, restaurants, and shops are just a hop, skip, and a jump away.
