A locally born and bred chef and graduate of Kapiolani Community College, Alan Wong has brought local food and exquisite flavor to the Pineapple Room, his eatery on the top of Ala Moana Shopping Center. Team Wong has made The Pineapple Room one of the most highly regarded Honolulu restaurants with a drive of creativity, passion and good food being at the heart of what they do. Sharing the essence of the aloha spirit on a plate, The Pineapple Room is by far one of the most notable restaurants on Oahu.

Having grown from a culinary program at the local community college to cooking for a United States President, Wong himself has pioneered local cuisine while fusing Pacific Rim taste with the local venture towards sustainability. They use locally-grown produce and locally-raised meat and poultry when possible to create new tastes and dishes.
