Pupukea Grill isn't your average meals on wheels. This unique lunch wagon (a local style eatery in a bus) is located across the street from the ocean, which is in full view from the tent covered casual picnic tables arrayed around the wagon. The grill is located in the heart of the North Shore, the surfing and ocean activity mecca of Hawaii.
Rather than the usual meat and rice meals often served at local lunch wagons, Pupukea Grill serves an array of dishes about 45 minutes outside of Honolulu. A large variety of shave ice flavors, paninis and quesadillas, chicken and fish tacos, sandwiches, hot dogs, grilled fish bowls, and more unique meals make up the extensive menu.

The casual eatery combines all the elements of the North Shore and takes advantage of the tropical weather by providing a simple outdoor area to eat. A collection of wooden picnic tables under a tent allow guests to enjoy the warm breezes and get a good look at the Pacific across the street at Shark's Cove, a popular place for snorkeling and swimming. It's in the ideal location for a before or after beach and surf session. If you're one of the many cruising the area on a bicycle, this is the perfect spot to take a break.
The back wall of the dining area pays homage to the North Shore as surf central. Many autographed posters of local and foreign surfers cover the wall, many of whom claim how much they love the eatery. Drop in at Pupukea Grill, before or after dropping in on a wave.
